So are his co hosts: James Adamson, his imaginatively named son, and Alan Bayles, a sci fi author, fellow film nerd and fellow Sunderland fan. As well as a look at news, new releases and how we’re fitting in movie watching with our busy exciting lives, we look into classic films we haven't seen yet and overlooked hidden gems you need to see, ask remakes to justify their existence or be wiped from history and offer parole hearings to bad films that need to be remade to fix their flaws.

Continuing Issue 68 of the monthly magazine podcast for the discerning film nerd. Now it's Classics and Hidden Gems, where we catch up with a film one or both of us hasn't seen before and tell you about a lesser known film you should check out.
Our theme is Sword and Sorcery (sort of) and for our Classic we talk about Ghibli's excellent Princess Mononoke. For our Hidden Gem we check out Antonio Banderas in The 13th Warrior and ask if it deserves more airtime and love.
