The monthly magazine podcast for the discerning film nerd. James Adamson is a slightly obsessive armchair fan, giving you his take on the world of cinema. So are his co hosts: James Adamson, his imaginatively named son, and Alan Bayles, a sci fi author, fellow film nerd and fellow Sunderland fan. As well as a look at news, new releases and how we’re fitting in movie watching with our busy exciting lives, we look into classic films we haven't seen yet and overlooked hidden gems you need to see, ask remakes to justify their existence or be wiped from history and offer parole hearings to bad films that need to be remade to fix their flaws.

Reel Two of the monthly magazine podcast for the discerning film nerd, featuring The Big Conversation. James Adamson and James Adamson explore why deranged fans making threats and demands on the creators of their favourite stories jumped out of the imagination of Stephen King and took over social media. EXPLICIT LANGUAGE WARNING - The Adamsons bring you the second reel of this month's episode, featuring the Big Conversation. REALLY, THERE'S LOTS OF SWEARING IN THIS ONE. The discussion is delicate and nuanced, except for when we are talking about tabloid journalism and Rupert Murdoch - WE'RE NOT KIDDING. See what we have to say about the fallout from the Depp vs Heard case, and some of the issues raised by historic abuse allegations against filmmakers. LIKE ALL THE SWEARWORDS, WE HAD TO USE ALL OF THEM, I MEAN IT'S MURDOCH, COME ON.

The concluding Reel of the episode and of 2020, in which the Adamsons take on Marvel's upcoming films in their Big Conversation, with many many questions. What's coming up in phase 4 and 5, is there a new arc and Big Bad? Is Black Widow just a prequel? Will Captain Marvel 2 fulfil the main character's limitless potential? Are we more excited by Mahershala Ali as Blade, Dr Strange entering Lovecraft territory or just how chiselled Chris Hemsworth is? Is the Eternals' Kumail Nanjiani going to give him a run for his money? And most of all, will this next round of blockbusters get everyone back into cinemas once we've all had a vaccine?
