Issue 75 of Double Reel continues with Classics and Hidden Gems, where we catch up with a great film one of us hasn't seen and tell you about a lesser known film you should give a chance to. The theme is films from 1996 that are having their 30th anniversary, and our Classic is Branagh's lavish and comprehensive screen version of Shakespeare's Hamlet. Then our Hidden Gem is a film not may people saw or liked, but we'd like you to check out the 30s-set superhero film The Phantom.

The first part of the Issue is out already, Double Reel Monthly, and next week we'll bring you the Remakes Tribunal.

Continuing Issue 74 of Double Reel, the monthly magazine podcast for the discerning film nerd. Now we have a special episode with returning co host James (no the other one) and a new feature - The Adamsons vs Films. In recognition of the film event of the summer, the impending release of The Odyssey, it's the Adamsons vs Christopher Nolan and James and James talk about why they love this director, their ups and downs with his previous films and what they're expecting from this new epic tale from the Greek myths.

Continuing Issue 74 of Double Reel, the monthly magazine podcast for the discerning film nerd. Now it's the Remakes Tribunal where we put two films up for judgement. First up, it's a Remake on Trial and we ask whether they should have made another screen adaptation of Thomas Harris's Red Dragon after Michael Mann's version from the 80s. Then we offer a Parole Board hearing to a film that didn't work the first time and ask if a remake would fix its problems. This time it's The Snowman, in which everyone made a terrible mess of trying to bring Jo Nesbo's Nordic crime fiction antihero Harry Hole to the screen.

Double Reel Monthly and Classics & Hidden Gems are already out, and there's a Christopher Nolan special coming up in a few days.
