The monthly magazine podcast for the discerning film nerd. James Adamson is a slightly obsessive armchair fan, giving you his take on the world of cinema. So are his co hosts: James Adamson, his imaginatively named son, and Alan Bayles, a sci fi author, fellow film nerd and fellow Sunderland fan. As well as a look at news, new releases and how we’re fitting in movie watching with our busy exciting lives, we look into classic films we haven't seen yet and overlooked hidden gems you need to see, ask remakes to justify their existence or be wiped from history and offer parole hearings to bad films that need to be remade to fix their flaws.

The second reel of the Adamsons' podcast magazine for film nerds, featuring our Big Conversation. Here we ask: how accurate are films which claim to be based on a true story? Does it matter if Braveheart is as historically correct as Highlander, or should films aim for the verisimilitude of Spotlight and Zodiac? Should Oliver Stone be permanently treated as an unreliable narrator? These questions and many more are asked an in some cases answered in our final Big Conversation of 2021.
