The monthly magazine podcast for the discerning film nerd. James Adamson is a slightly obsessive armchair fan, giving you his take on the world of cinema. So are his co hosts: James Adamson, his imaginatively named son, and Alan Bayles, a sci fi author, fellow film nerd and fellow Sunderland fan. As well as a look at news, new releases and how we’re fitting in movie watching with our busy exciting lives, we look into classic films we haven't seen yet and overlooked hidden gems you need to see, ask remakes to justify their existence or be wiped from history and offer parole hearings to bad films that need to be remade to fix their flaws.

The Adamsons hit May 2022 with a giant helping of nerdy film content in their monthly podcast magazine. The epic nature of this episode is partly because the films we're discussing have such long titles. This is Reel 1 featuring reviews of new films The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the latest entry in our Kubrick project - 1962's Lolita, our Classic JoJo Rabbit, our Hidden Gem The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, our One That Got Away on Robert Rodriguez's Predators, and a Remake Hatewatch of The Longest Yard. Reel 2 is also out now featuring our Big Conversation.
