The monthly magazine podcast for the discerning film nerd. James Adamson is a slightly obsessive armchair fan, giving you his take on the world of cinema. So are his co hosts: James Adamson, his imaginatively named son, and Alan Bayles, a sci fi author, fellow film nerd and fellow Sunderland fan. As well as a look at news, new releases and how we’re fitting in movie watching with our busy exciting lives, we look into classic films we haven't seen yet and overlooked hidden gems you need to see, ask remakes to justify their existence or be wiped from history and offer parole hearings to bad films that need to be remade to fix their flaws.

The monthly magazine podcast for film nerds with impeccable taste returns with another humdinger of an episode. In the first reel the Adamsons have reviews of new releases No Time To Die, The Last Duel and The Green Knight, plus the Year of the Carpenter reaches the top three and suspense classic Assault on Precinct 13. Our classic is 80s thriller No Way Out starring Kevin Costner, our Hidden Gem is Saudi drama Wadjda, The One That Got Away is Jodorowsky's Dune and the Remake Hatewatch is the 2005 version of Assault on Precinct 13.
