As well as a look at news, new releases and how we’re fitting in movie watching with our busy exciting lives, we look into classic films we haven't seen yet and overlooked hidden gems you need to see, ask remakes to justify their existence or be wiped from history and offer parole hearings to bad films that need to be remade to fix their flaws.

The Adamsons are back for the second reel of this month's episode. Our latest Big Conversation looks at the best films from the year we were born. We look at the most notable films of 1973 and 1996 respectively, and how connected we feel to those films and to that year in general. As a special bonus at the end we unveil our new panel game Movie Tennis, which we are sure will be the next big thing on Radio 4. Once we work out a few kinks.
