So are his co hosts: James Adamson, his imaginatively named son, and Alan Bayles, a sci fi author, fellow film nerd and fellow Sunderland fan. As well as a look at news, new releases and how we’re fitting in movie watching with our busy exciting lives, we look into classic films we haven't seen yet and overlooked hidden gems you need to see, ask remakes to justify their existence or be wiped from history and offer parole hearings to bad films that need to be remade to fix their flaws.

We compare the competing comic book films Fantastic Four First Steps and Superman, plus new releases Naked Gun, Bring Her Back, War of the Worlds and Happy Gilmore 2. For our projects Alan ticks off another great Hitchcock film The Wrong Man, and James finally dusts off The Tree of Life which has been sitting on the shelf for years.
