As well as a look at news, new releases and how we’re fitting in movie watching with our busy exciting lives, we look into classic films we haven't seen yet and overlooked hidden gems you need to see, ask remakes to justify their existence or be wiped from history and offer parole hearings to bad films that need to be remade to fix their flaws.

Issue 59 of the monthly magazine podcast for the discerning film nerd continues with Classics and Hidden Gems. In the Classic James finally gets round to watching 1965's The Flight of the Phoenix all the way through. In the Hidden Gem listener Nick Paticchio nominated a film for us to check out - we loved it and now we want all of you to hear about 1988's Afghan War film The Beast of War
The first part of this issue Double Reel Monthly is already available to download, and the Remakes Tribunal will be out in a week's time.
