So are his co hosts: James Adamson, his imaginatively named son, and Alan Bayles, a sci fi author, fellow film nerd and fellow Sunderland fan. As well as a look at news, new releases and how we’re fitting in movie watching with our busy exciting lives, we look into classic films we haven't seen yet and overlooked hidden gems you need to see, ask remakes to justify their existence or be wiped from history and offer parole hearings to bad films that need to be remade to fix their flaws.

Issue 52 of the monthly magazine podcast for the discerning film nerd continues with Classics and Hidden Gems. This month all our featured films are from 1994 and celebrating their 30th anniversary. First we finally get round to watching Three Colours White and also discuss the whole Three Colours Trilogy. In our Hidden Gem we pick out a film you may not have watched and should give a chance, which this month is noirish superhero film The Shadow.
