So are his co hosts: James Adamson, his imaginatively named son, and Alan Bayles, a sci fi author, fellow film nerd and fellow Sunderland fan. As well as a look at news, new releases and how we’re fitting in movie watching with our busy exciting lives, we look into classic films we haven't seen yet and overlooked hidden gems you need to see, ask remakes to justify their existence or be wiped from history and offer parole hearings to bad films that need to be remade to fix their flaws.

First up in our latest issue: Double Reel Monthly, with news, new releases, a look at new films including Three Musketeers Milady, Zack Snyder's Rebel Moon Part 1, The Burial and Saltburn, the first film in a new film project about women directors starting with CODA and a preview of another new film project starting next month.
