So are his co hosts: James Adamson, his imaginatively named son, and Alan Bayles, a sci fi author, fellow film nerd and fellow Sunderland fan. As well as a look at news, new releases and how we’re fitting in movie watching with our busy exciting lives, we look into classic films we haven't seen yet and overlooked hidden gems you need to see, ask remakes to justify their existence or be wiped from history and offer parole hearings to bad films that need to be remade to fix their flaws.

The Adamsons conclude Issue 44 of the monthly magazine podcast for the discerning film nerd with the Big Conversation, where we dig into a topic from the film world in more detail. In keeping with our overall theme this month we discuss and agree Double Reel's Top 10 Ridley Scott Films.
The other parts of Issue 44 are already available to download including Double Reel Monthly, Penalty Shootout Film Quiz and the Features. Soon we will have some bonus episodes available with the collected films on our year long projects Legal Cage of Consent and The Cronenberg Institute.
