So are his co hosts: James Adamson, his imaginatively named son, and Alan Bayles, a sci fi author, fellow film nerd and fellow Sunderland fan. As well as a look at news, new releases and how we’re fitting in movie watching with our busy exciting lives, we look into classic films we haven't seen yet and overlooked hidden gems you need to see, ask remakes to justify their existence or be wiped from history and offer parole hearings to bad films that need to be remade to fix their flaws.

Issue 43 of the monthly magazine podcast for the discerning film nerd continues with the Features. Our Classic is bonkers French period action horror The Brotherhood of the Wolf; the Hidden Gem is Werner Herzog's Rescue Dawn; The One That Got Away features Spielberg's attempt to make The Trial of the Chicago 7; our Remake Hatewatch is the superflous 2007 version of The Invasion; and finally we ask for a remake of the superhero comedy Hancock.
