So are his co hosts: James Adamson, his imaginatively named son, and Alan Bayles, a sci fi author, fellow film nerd and fellow Sunderland fan. As well as a look at news, new releases and how we’re fitting in movie watching with our busy exciting lives, we look into classic films we haven't seen yet and overlooked hidden gems you need to see, ask remakes to justify their existence or be wiped from history and offer parole hearings to bad films that need to be remade to fix their flaws.

The Adamsons are back and so is the May 2023 issue of the monthly magazine podcast for the discerning film nerd. The first part is Double Reel with news, a look at new releases, reviews of new films and our 12 month film projects. This month we review new films The Three Musketeers: D'Artagnan, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, Boston Strangler and Ghosted. We also bring you our Penalty Shootout Film Quiz where the loser has to watch a film they're going to absolutely hate. This month's visit to the Cronenberg Institute brings you Spider, the 2002 psychological drama, and we also discuss a Nic Cage film picked at random. Next week we bring you the features including the Classic, Hidden Gem, One That Got Away and Remake Hatewatch. The following week it will be our Big Conversation.
