So are his co hosts: James Adamson, his imaginatively named son, and Alan Bayles, a sci fi author, fellow film nerd and fellow Sunderland fan. As well as a look at news, new releases and how we’re fitting in movie watching with our busy exciting lives, we look into classic films we haven't seen yet and overlooked hidden gems you need to see, ask remakes to justify their existence or be wiped from history and offer parole hearings to bad films that need to be remade to fix their flaws.

The Adamsons are back for February 2023 with a fresh format for the premier monthly magazine podcast for the discerning film nerd. This is the first part of this month's issue, Double Reel Monthly. We bring you news, a look at upcoming new releases, reviews of new films we've watched and how we're keeping up our New Year's resolutions for this year. James and James review new films Babylon and The Pale Blue Eye, Oscar contender All Quiet on the Western Front and look back at recent hits Top Gun: Maverick and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. James (no, the other one) discusses February's visit to the Cronenberg Institute and 1977's body horror classic Rabid. James (yeah, that one) brings you his new project where the Internet selects Nic Cage films for him to watch at random. This month he was subjected to USS Indianapolis: Men Of Courage and Trespass. On the 4th of March we'll bring you part two of this month's issue, our regular features including our Classic, Hidden Gem, the One That Got Away and a Remake Hatewatch.
